Palm is struggling to sell its devices as many other mid size manufacturers. Palm expects full-year revenue to be “well below” its previous estimate of between $1.6 billion and $1.8 billion.

The smartphone market seems polarized more and more between platforms with a critical size and the others. The big 3 are of course Symbian/Nokia, Apple, RIM and Android/HTC. Windows Mobile/Phone has lost some momentum and it is not sure the Windows Phone 7 will re start the growth engine at the end of this year.
I believe there isn’t space for 10 Open OS platforms. Plam WebOS is a great platform but it seems doomed if it can’t reach the critical mass within the next 18 months.
